Analysis Report
Task
The evolution of architecture is documented by examining shifts across diverse traditions, regions, overarching stylistic movements, and chronological periods. This rich historical tapestry gives rise to a dynamic architectural landscape. Nevertheless, numerous historic structures confront the threat of demolition to accommodate more modern edifices. Consequently, by meticulously recording, documenting, and analyzing these buildings, we play a role in safeguarding the invaluable historical evidence embedded in architecture. A research and architectural analysis was conducted on The National Mosque. The discoveries were consolidated into an A4 poster and booklet for submission to the Taylor’s Integrated Moodle E-Learning System (MyTIMeS).

Reflection
Embarking on my Architectural History and Theory assignment centered around the National Mosque of Malaysia was a riveting exploration. This iconic structure became a lens through which I traced Malaysia's architectural evolution, revealing a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. The assignment demanded a thorough architectural analysis, unraveling the mosque's narrative through historical periods and regional influences.
As I researched, the National Mosque emerged as a symbol of Malaysia's cultural diversity and identity. Yet, the investigation highlighted challenges, particularly the risk posed by contemporary urban development. This realization transformed the assignment into not just an academic endeavor but a call to action to document and preserve the mosque's historical and cultural legacy.
Compiling my findings into an A4 poster and booklet added a practical and visual dimension to the academic exercise. Submitting this compilation to the Taylor’s Integrated Moodle E-Learning System (MyTIMeS) underscored the broader significance of contributing to collective knowledge.
In conclusion, this assignment offered a profound introduction to Architectural History and Theory, deepening my understanding of the intricate relationship between architecture and cultural identity. It instilled a sense of responsibility in preserving the rich heritage embodied by the National Mosque, setting a guiding tone for future architectural inquiries and analyses.
