Phase 1B
Design Strategies and Exploration
Task
We developed the individual design proposal based on the understanding of the 3Ps—People, Place, and Project—established during the Preliminary Studies. Through an iterative design process, we explored and tested multiple schemes to critically evaluate functionality, spatial quality, effectiveness, and formal composition. Architectural precedents, case studies, and relevant readings were used to inform programmatic relationships, design strategies, structural systems, and materiality. The design exploration was communicated through sketches, study models, diagrams, and conceptual 2D and 3D drawings, allowing ideas to be continuously tested and refined. This process culminated in a developed design scheme that responds to the identified site conditions, user needs, and project objectives while demonstrating a rigorous and reflective design approach.
