Students will observe and document dance movements using Ethnographic Drawings (plan and elevation mappings) to understand the choreography's meaning. This process combines reading with observation and drawing to inform a poetic, experimental design approach.

The outcome is a Choreography-Informed Envelope—a flagship construct for a Pas de Deux—designed to embody bodily consciousness, affective expression, and experimentation. A focus on scale interplay is integral, with strict adherence to project-specific scales to ensure continuity across projects.
