Reflection

The "Farnsworth House" assignment proved to be an invaluable exercise in advancing my architectural drawing skills. Creating both 2D and 3D drawings using orthographic projections, axonometry, and perspectives provided a comprehensive understanding of the various representations required in architectural design.

The incorporation of plans, elevations, sections, axonometrics, and perspectives demanded a meticulous approach, fostering precision and attention to detail. This multifaceted approach not only enhanced my technical skills but also deepened my appreciation for the complexity involved in conveying spatial information through different drawing techniques.

Working with pencils allowed me to refine my hand-drawing abilities, incorporating architectural conventions for accurate representation. The manual rendering of drawings provided a tangible connection to the architectural process, emphasizing the importance of skillful execution in conveying design intent.

Inking the drawings to practice line weights was a crucial aspect of the assignment. It not only refined the visual aesthetics of the drawings but also underscored the significance of clear communication through variations in line thickness.

In essence, the "Farnsworth House" assignment was a transformative experience, pushing me to develop and integrate various drawing skills while instilling a deep appreciation for the meticulous craftsmanship required in architectural representation.
